I’m blog hopping with a group of super talented crafters this month and this week I’m working on a stitched bracelet project I found on my one of my favorite sites, Creativebug.
Last month I took a beginning sewing class and since the end of class, I vowed to sew something every month so I can retain what I’ve learned and continue to grow my confidence in sewing. Even though this project was simple, it helped me to remember new-t0-sewing basics such as:
- Threading my bobbin and machine (yeah, I’m that kind of beginner)
- How to to use interfacing
- I also learned a little bit about embroidery stitches!
- No more pricked fingers with the amazing Wonder Clips!
These stitched bracelets are perfect quick and easy for gifts for your littles! I’m thinking about getting some super hero fabric and making one for my boys! This particular bracelet features a snap close (which are super easy to apply) however, I didn’t have this supply and decided to improvise with my trusty Crop-A-Dile to create a closure (my paper crafting peeps are familiar with this tool).
Head on over to Creativebug and sign up for a free trial and try the class for yourself! Creativebug is a wonderful online classroom resource and I love the pace of teaching and and variety of crafts. What a perfect way to celebrate National Craft Month! #nationalcraftmonth #imadethisjg
I hope I have inspired you today! Sending you off with crafty wishes and washi tape dreams!
