My Pinterest Inspiration Board
I’ve created a Pinterest Board, using it to gathering sources worth researching. If you have a source you are looking for more information on, leave a comment!
Step 1: Read / Research
It’s all about delayed gratification here! This is often the hardest step when you are anxious to jump in and buy, buy, buy product! There is a term in Innovation and Creativity circles called “Minimum Viable Product,’ or the maximum amount of learning and value gained with the least effort. Applying this term to trying a new craft ask yourself:
What are the minimum amount of tools I can get away with that will allow me to fully understand if Brush lettering/Calligraphy/Fonts is something I’m truly/deeply/madly interested in?
This is important question. If you don’t first ask this question before jumping into a new art (substitute lettering for card making, painting, knitting, you-name-it) you will end up with a craft space full of unwanted things, a lighter bank account and a lot of regret.
Hopefully this Pinterest Board helps you in your research.
