Out of time and ideas in the check-out line at my local craft store, I stumbled upon a very large wood snowflake in the dollar bin. Immediately, I knew that this snowflake would make a great stencil for my December journal cover. I also needed some paint and found Delta’s line of Soy paint in Mushroom and White Onion.
I painted my binder in Mushroom, traced my stencil in pencil and filled in the snowflake pattern with the White Onion. I tried to erase as much of the pencil as possible. For the finishing touch, I used enamel glaze I had on hand to outline the snowflake. Although my tracing is not perfect, I like it!
So, if you already have paint on hand, check out your craft store’s dollar bin or wood section for a holiday ornament. If you are looking for an eco-friendly paint, try the Delta line. Two fun products that won’t break the bank.
