As I mentioned before, when I pick up a stamp, I’m usually in a hurry to create a birthday card or a gift tag. So I tend to invest in some of the higher quality stamp brands that offer durability and the promise of a clear image the very first time I stamp.
However, I am always looking for a great deal and I admit that I occasionally check out my local craft store’s dollar bin for $1 stamps. I only choose stamps with a simple pattern (e.g. words, basic shapes) as the finished product looks great. I avoid stamps with a lot of detail since many of the cheaper stamps do not consistently produce very detailed images.
Today I want to share this holiday tag I made with a trendy “Happy Holidays” stamp I found in the dollar bin. I used some existing paper and a background stamp to make this fun, modern and simple holiday tag. What a great way to add a little something extra to your existing stamp collection or try stamping for the first time without breaking the bank.
