Recently, after deciding I did not want to pay a high shipping cost to have a ream of plain white cardstock delivered to me, I did an internet search and food several paper/office supply stores carrying the smooth, plain white cardstock I was looking for. My visit to one of these paper distributors was more than worthwhile. Not only did I find what I was looking for, I also found a very knowledgeable sales associate who provided a quick, but very thorough education on paper textures, weight and manufacturers. The ‘Paper Guy’ also informed me of comparable paper products at very REASONABLE prices. For instance, I found a comparable 80lb smooth and very white cardstock for just a little over $12.00 USD for a 250 count ream of paper! Really? Yes! Really! I plan on returning to discover other crafty finds and share them with you. So, if you are in the market for plain card stock, search online for local office supply/paper product stores in your area. I can almost guarantee you will see the value in visiting one of these stores, learn a thing or two about the different paper products and find something great at a price that fits well within your budget. I forgot to mention I also received 10-20 piece samples of card stock products to try. Personally, this is much more preferable to ordering sight unseen. So, go and search out your local paper store. Stay crafty!

I really love the thicknes and quality of Papertrey Ink, is 110lb. The other day I had make copies for our Cub Scoutspack so i stopped at a fedex store and decided to ask about options…for a card/calendar project I had in mind. And gues what? They sell 110lb paper and even thicker if i remember right. she showed me one sheet on 110lb and i liked…i would just have to test how well it would work for stamping. She didn’t know how much it was by the ream but she said they they do sell it by the ream. I was in a bit of a hurry that day so i didn’t get in line to ask but I was happy to know that if i am in a bind. I can get cardstock comparable to PTI locally.
It’s always great to have alternatives! Thanks for commenting
